Masters Interpretation - Caitlin Curran
Assignment: Create a design based off a small digital swatch pulled from a small section of a Master painting. The swatch will be the inspiration for your final color pallet, form, and composition choices. The swatches are anonymous now, but the identity and link to the collection will be revealed after the due date. The final designs can be executed in any media.
Objectives:
- Heighten observational skills by looking for design elements in everyday objects and translating them into a final creative work
- Create design unity through common approaches to color harmony and reflective color
- Use of temperature contrast to develop dynamic color relationships
- Innovative figure/ground or positive/negative space relationships
- Heightened color sensitivity for color matching and found color.
